Plan your trip, destination by destination
Whether you're planning a weekend road trip or a two-week holiday across multiple cities, Mappy helps you organize every stop into a day-by-day Google Maps route — so you arrive prepared, not scrambling.
The difference between a good trip and a great one
Day-by-day structure
Group your destinations by day. See exactly how much ground you're covering on each day and spot overloaded days before you leave home.
Validate every address first
Mappy checks every destination against real map data before your trip. No more arriving at a closed attraction because the address was wrong.
Optimized order, less driving
Mappy's route optimizer reorders your stops within each day to cut unnecessary backtracking — so you spend more time at each place, less time in the car.
Share before you go
Generate a Google Maps link for each day of your trip. Share it with your travel companions or save it to your phone — open and navigate instantly, anywhere.
From address list to travel-ready route in minutes
List your destinations
Collect every place you want to visit — hotels, restaurants, museums, viewpoints, attractions. Add them to Mappy by typing, importing from an Excel or CSV file, or scanning a printed itinerary with your phone camera.
Validate locations on the map
Mappy geocodes every destination and pins it on the map in real time. Green pins are confirmed — red ones need a small correction (usually adding the city name or country). Fix everything before the trip, not during it.
Sort by day or zone
Use Mappy's zone feature to group stops into days. Each zone of up to 10 stops becomes one Google Maps route. Split Day 1 from Day 2, Day 2 from Day 3 — as many days as your trip covers.
Optimize each day's order
Within each day's zone, tap "Fastest route" to let Mappy reorder your stops for the shortest driving path. No more zigzagging across the city — Mappy finds the logical flow.
Open in Google Maps and go
Each day zone gets its own "Open in Maps" button. Tap it and Google Maps launches with all stops pre-loaded in optimal order, ready to navigate. Share the link with anyone in your travel group.
Every type of traveller
Road trip groups
Map out every stop across multiple days. Everyone in the car gets the same Google Maps link — no arguing about which way to go.
City explorers
Visiting a new city for a weekend? List every neighbourhood, museum and restaurant. Mappy orders them geographically so you're never backtracking across town.
Multi-country holidays
Create a zone per country or per city. Each zone is a self-contained day of navigation. Reorganize as plans change — Mappy updates instantly.
Family trips
Kids' attractions, lunch spots, hotel check-ins — all validated and ordered before you leave. Spend the holiday together, not looking at Maps.
Photography & hiking routes
Plan golden-hour stops, trailheads and viewpoints. Mappy lets you arrange locations in any order and see the full route on the map at once.
Backpackers
Import a list of hostels and sights from a spreadsheet. Validate addresses, optimize the walking order, export to Google Maps. Done in two minutes.

Use full address + city + country
For international trips, always include the country in each address. "Piazza Navona, Rome, Italy" geocodes reliably — "Piazza Navona" alone might not. This is the single biggest cause of wrong pins.
One zone per day
Use Mappy's zone split to separate each travel day. This way you open one Google Maps link per day — clean, focused, easy to share.
Import from a spreadsheet
Already planning in Excel? Just import your destination list directly. Mappy reads the address column and validates everything automatically — no retyping.
Save your Google Maps links
Once you generate a route, copy the Google Maps link and save it in your notes or share it to your group chat. You can navigate without internet once Google Maps caches the route.
Check the map view before you finalize
After importing, zoom out on the map to see all pins at once. Visually spot any pins that look out of place — an incorrect geocode stands out when you see all locations together.
Trip planning with Mappy — FAQ
How many destinations can I add per trip?
Mappy supports up to 1,000 destinations per session. For typical travel itineraries this is more than enough — even a 3-week road trip rarely exceeds 100–150 stops.
Can I plan multiple days in one session?
Yes. Add all destinations for the entire trip in one go, then use Mappy's zone feature to split them into days. Each zone becomes a separate Google Maps route for that day.
Does Mappy work for walking routes in cities?
Mappy creates the route and opens it in Google Maps, where you can choose the transport mode — walking, cycling, driving or transit. Select walking in Google Maps after opening the route.
Can I share the route with my travel companions?
Yes. Copy the Google Maps link for each day's zone and share it via any messaging app. Anyone with the link can open it and navigate — no Mappy account needed.
Does Mappy save my trip for later?
Mappy stores your current session in the browser. If you close the tab, your data remains until you clear browser storage. For long-term saving, export your destination list to Excel or copy the Google Maps links before closing.
Can I use Mappy to plan a trip on a desktop and navigate on my phone?
Yes — that's a common workflow. Plan on your laptop, generate the Google Maps links, share them to your phone via messaging or email, then open and navigate on your phone while travelling.
